Congratulations to all of the Murray Academy dancers, families and teachers on our success at this year’s North American championship!! Results are summarized as follows:

Kate Babcock – U17A National Champion!
Clare MacRitchie – U16B Runner-up
11 World Qualifiers
4 Dancers in the top 5
9 in the top 10
12 in top 20
U13 team placed 15th out of 53 teams
Overall recall rate was 63%

World Championships—April 2015, Montreal, Canada

Congratulations to all of the Murray Academy dancers, their parents and the teachers on our best ever results at this year’s World Championships!! This year 16 of our 17 qualifiers were able to attend (Emily Varga was injured but will be back to competing for the 2015 North American Championships). A special congratulations goes to Kate Babcock, U17, for her 3rd place and for bringing home a Globe! We earned 6 World medals, four more than any other New England Irish dance school in girls’ competitions, and 3 additional recall medals, giving us a total of 9 individual medals, the highest total in New England for girls! Additionally, our U19 Girls Senior Ceili team placed 7th which was also a world medal. We are proud of our 56% recall rate for solos and for the outstanding performances of all our participating dancers. We are so proud of you team Murray!

New England Oireachtas—November, 2014, Providence, RI

Congratulations to all of the Murray Academy dancers, families and teachers on our outstanding results at this year’s regional championship!! We competed only in girls’ solo and girls’ team competitions. Results are summarized as follows:

Solo Results:

2 Winners
4 Runners-up
16 World Qualifiers
13 Dancers in the top 5 (highest of all New England Schools)
20 in the top 10
27 in top 20
Recall rate was 82%

Traditional Set Results:

2 Winners
7 in the top 5
12 in the top 10
Recall rate of 70%.

In team competitions, we had 5 teams in the top 5, and 10 teams in the top 10, including three 8 hand teams: 3rd place (U12), 6th place (U15), and 5th place (15 & over). Our girls did an incredible job!
