World Championships—April 2015, Montreal, Canada

Congratulations to all of the Murray Academy dancers, their parents and the teachers on our best ever results at this year’s World Championships!! This year 16 of our 17 qualifiers were able to attend (Emily Varga was injured but will be back to competing for the 2015 North American Championships). A special congratulations goes to Kate Babcock, U17, for her 3rd place and for bringing home a Globe! We earned 6 World medals, four more than any other New England Irish dance school in girls’ competitions, and 3 additional recall medals, giving us a total of 9 individual medals, the highest total in New England for girls! Additionally, our U19 Girls Senior Ceili team placed 7th which was also a world medal. We are proud of our 56% recall rate for solos and for the outstanding performances of all our participating dancers. We are so proud of you team Murray!
