World Championships – April 2011, Dublin

The Murray Academy is proud to be home to 2 World Medalists, as well as 1 recall medalist (top 3rd)!!  This was the third year our school has attended the World Championships.

Congratulations to our team of 7 dancers who attended this year’s World Championships of Irish Dance in Dublin. They represented the Murray Academy, New Hampshire and the New England Region so well! Competitions were run by age group and had roughly 150 of the best dancers in each.

Murray Academy of Irish Dance is located in the Seacoast Region of NH and proud to be home to about 170 Irish dancers. We are a cohesive group of dedicated Irish dance teachers, assistant teachers, supportive parents and wonderful students, committed to learning and growing. There are many different reasons why our Murray Academy families participate in the world of Irish dance…whether it is for sport, exercise, or family tradition, our Murray Academy Irish dancers just love to move their feet! Classes are offered for all levels of dancers, from Pre-Beginners ages 3 ½ to 5, to beginners through to champions.

New England Oireachtas – November 2010, Providence, RI

The Murray Academy participated in the New England Oireachtas (Regional Championships). Results included 9 World Qualifiers (8 female, 1 male) and many dancers in the top 10.

We also had 4 winners of traditional set comps, with 12 total in the top 5; and 5 teams in the top 5 including, including top 3 wins in U9 and U12 4 hands and a first place finish in Choreography!

National Championships – July 2010, Orlando, FL

The Murray Academy participated in the North American Championships in Orlando, FL in July 2010.  This was the 3rd year we’d participated in this event, and we are very proud of our results.  Congratulations to all our participating dancers.
