Brigid O’Connor — Second Place!!
Congratulations to the eight Murray Academy dancers who traveled to Belfast to participate in the prestigious All Ireland Championships! This competition is second only to the World Championships in prestige. We are very proud of Brigid O’Connor who placed 2nd in the U11 competition. We also had 2 others in the top 20–Sadie Bucknam 12th place, and Clare MacRitchie 18th place. All our dancers earned a recall medal in both light and heavy dances, and 7 or our 8 dancers recalled! Congratulations to these additional placers: 25th Jolie Preece; 28th Charlotte McDaniel; 34th Caitlin MacVarish; and 44th Bailey Kelly.
